You don't need standup
Modified 2022-09-23
Don't do stand-up
- communication happens organically and ad-hoc (when needed)
- teams become remote friendly
- developers feel less stressed (introverts will feel even better)
- developers feel they can be trusted
- look at Trello (or whatever) when you need a status update
Don't plan every sprint
- backlog is used as a priority queue
- blockers are communicated immediately
- plan, but plan ad-hoc, when things change
- trust the developers
Don't plan retrospectives
- plan them when problems arise, which can't be fixed easily
- prefer JIT (Just-in-Time) problem solving
